There are many words that could be used to describe the driving experience of a Morgan 3-wheeler but if pressed to choose one I would go with exhilarating. The Morgan motor company have a long history of producing simple, hand-made quintessentially British sports cars designed to appeal to thrill seeking aristocrats and RAF flying aces. When the Morgan Motor company celebrated its 100th birthday in 2011 it announced it was returning to its roots with a new model- the 3 wheeler. While the concept was not new (The first Morgan cars were all 3 wheelers) the engineering certainly was. Powered by a 1983cc V twin SS unit producing 82BHP it was good for a 115 mile per hour top speed- although anyone attempting that is braver than I am.
This particular example is one of the very earliest 2 wheelers produced and was delivered to Mr Helfrecht on the 1/ 8/ 2012. During his ownership the car has regularly visited Morgan specialists and had every suggested upgrade fitted at a cost of over £10, 000. This latest bill was a cool £4, 553. 60 for a stage 2 package including the ECU, exhaust, camshafts and sprocket upgrades. It has enjoyed a number of long European tours but with a deposit down on a brand new Morgan super 3 Mr Helfrecht has decided to part ways with the 3 wheeler. The car comes with the original steering wheel, chrome luggage rack and heated seats. A truly smashing example with a comprehensive history file, one private owner and stunning colour combination.
