1961 MG A Coupe
Engine: 4 cylinder 1600cc
Gearbox: 4 Speed Manual
We are delighted to announce we have secured this absolutely fabulous MG A 1600 Coupe, offered for sale for the first time since 1996.
This original UK supplied car (One of just 168 cars built for the UK in 1961) was subject to a complete nut and bolt restoration in the early 90?s and has covered just 1,372 miles since as part of a small classic MG collection. As a result, the vehicle is still in excellent condition both inside and out with very few signs of wear, a potential show winner. The interior is black and in superb condition. The engine bay is fully detailed and a real credit to the work carried out by the perfectionist who restored the car.
Despite the negligible mileage covered the current owner has kept the car regularly maintained and MOT?d with thousands of pounds worth of invoices in the history file.
The file also contains a very rare and difficult to find original maintenance manual (Complete with oily fingerprints from the 1960?s!) and the original buff log book which confirms the first owners (GA Harris LTD of Uttoxeter). There is also a comprehensive collection of photographs detailing the restoration along with a collection of 25 old MOT certificates starting in 1968 and finishing with a fresh certificate awarded 3/8/2023.
Another area this classic MG really excels is investment potential- these A Coupes are far rarer than their convertible counterpart especially home market examples. This car also retains its original numbers matching engine which makes it a very rare car, not one to be missed.
Price: £24,995
