1979 MG B Roadster

Engine: 4 cylinder 1800cc

Gearbox: Manual 4 Speed O/D

Offered for sale at Beaulieu Garage just arrived with have a very respectable MGB Roadster. Imported from the states in 2011 the car was converted to right hand drive soon after. It was then rebuilt and retrimmed before being purchased by its current owner in 2016. Unusually for an import the car has a massive history file from its time across the pond, including its original book pack and American Passport to service. It’s from this we can deduce the cars first owners were Cheryl and Gayle Baker of Kalamazoo city in Michigan. They purchased the car from Engel Volkswagen and Imports. We also see the 2 earliest service stamps for the vehicle at 1000 and 3000 miles. The vehicle still presents in its original (And I think quite possible mostly factory) russet brown paint with vinyl interior (Excellent condition). The roof is the factory black vinyl item and still in perfectly serviceable condition.

What really sets this car apart is how sweetly it drives- with auto choke and overdrive it fires easily and zooms along in everyday traffic with ease, the steering feels light and precise. The gearbox feels tight and overdrive kicks in and out with no delay. Only offered for sale due to bereavement of the current owner these rubber bumper MGs are swiftly becoming the classic car to invest in.
