1972 Jaguar E Type 5.3L V12 Series 3 OTS
Engine: 12 cylinder 5300cc
Gearbox: Manual 4 Speed
Offered for sale we have what must be one of nicest Series 3 E types on the road today. According to the Jaguar heritage certificate this car was built on the 5/5/72 and dispatched on the 7/6/72. It’s first owner has gone unrecorded but we have a letter from the son of the second owner confirming he purchased the car in 1973, and then in 1975 put the car into storage while he worked in Bahrain until 1983. At this point the car had covered just 37, 512 miles. We have MOT certificates from 1987 until present day (A new one just issued last month) which confirm the current shown mileage of just over 49,000 miles is genuine. The current owner came into possession of the Jaguar in 2015 when he added it to his personal E Type collection. He has had the car serviced yearly along with new brake disks and general maintenance.
The vehicle has in excess of £20,000 spent gearbox reconditioning, full bare metal respray and many other replacement items- the history file is an incredible read. To add to the good news the car still retains its original engine, which anyone who has driven a v12 Jaguar will tell you really is quite something. Beautifully smooth when cruising, rapid when called upon. Simply brilliant. This car is a find, one for the collector- you won’t find another like this!
