Offered for sale we have an iconic piece of 1950’s Americana.

Presented in virtually concours condition, this really is as good as it gets. Restored in America 20 years ago she has spent the time since being trailered to shows and winning awards.

About as highly specified as you can get for a 1950’s car (powered steering, power brakes, power windows etc) the first owner of this vehicle also opted for the most powerful engine option, meaning under the hood you’ll find a 312 cubic inch Y Block V8 topped with a pair of Holley four barrel "teapot" carburettors producing 275 BHP. These “E” code cars are by far the rarest and most sought after of the Thunderbirds. To finish they made probably their bravest decision, the colour. Dusk Rose (Code X) was chosen while the removable port hole hard top was painted White.

Today the car presents in near concours condition. The interior is immaculate with no signs of wear on any interior fabrics, switch gear or glass. The exterior brightwork is in A1 condition as are the Kelsey Hayes original wheels and tyres. Under the hood, the car has been extensively detailed as has the underside of the car, the car has seen very little road mileage since the rebuild.  The carburettors have recently been fettled and the car runs and drives as beautifully as it looks.

This automobile is a collector’s dream. Restored to an incredibly high level and in the most desirable factory specification, the car is an instant best in show winner, you will not find a nicer one anywhere in the world.
