1959 Triumph TR3a

Engine: 4 cylinder 2300cc

Gearbox: 4 speed Manual with overdrive

Offered for sale what must be the highest quality TR3a on the market, the car is simply superb from bumper to bumper. Finished in its factory colour of Pearl Grey with contrasting red upholstery this vehicle is a credit to its previous owners keen eye and attention to detail.
Completely rebuilt with the quite literal aim of being the best in the land, the decision was taken to rebuild and upgrade the original engine to the highest specification possible. The car was sent to Triumph experts Classic Workz who increased the cylinder capacity to 2. 3L, fitted new pistons, liners, oil pump, con rods and a fully balanced crank pulley with flywheel. The engine was removed, machined, cleaned and repainted. While this work was being carried out the gearbox was also removed, inspected and reconditioned where necessary. The fact the cost of all this work was a shade over £8, 000 should give some indication just how many new parts were fitted; the invoice is extensive and there is also a memory stick with pictures of the work. Another substantial enhancement is the fitting of rack and pinion steering over the original steering box system. In practice this makes a huge difference in the drivability of the car, steering is light, precise and a world away from the stiff and clunky experience you usually have driving a TR3.
The history file contains many invoices from big names such as Revington TR and the TR shop of London.
This is a car that really must be seen to be appreciated. A huge amount of care and money has gone into making this not only present to show standard but to also be exceptionally rewarding on the road. Really, the ultimate TR3a - not one to be missed.
