History: The S Type Jaguar was fitted with independant rear suspension similar to the set up on the E type. This represents a huge leap forward from the MK2 in the handling department. In 1998 Lord Wenham purchased this car from the second owner after it had been in dry storage for 23 years. Although still very sound it was then treated to a light restoration including a bare metal repaint and engine rebuild. Finished in Sand with red interior. Fitted with power steering. Still in fantastic condition with largely original interior; the leather having been well looked after throughout its life. Comes with large history file, old style log book and orignal hand books etc. This car is fantastic to drive with the performance of the 3.8 litre engine coupled to four speed synchromesh gearbox with overdrive. A stunning example.
