1962 MGA MK2 DELUXE

Engine: 4 cylinder 1622cc
Gearbox: Manual 4 speed.

History: Restored in the early 1990’s by marque specialist Simon Robinson since which time it has covered less than 6000 miles It was stripped to bare metal, repainted , retrimmed, engine rebuilt, gearbox rebuilt, suspension ovehauled, wiring harness replaced, new chrome and other parts as necc. It has a stack of old MOTs, some invoices for maintenance and a Heritage Certificate. Finished in Iris Blue with black leather deluxe seats, piped in pale blue. Chassis and engine are matching and correct.
The Deluxe utilises the tried and tested 1622cc push-rod engine but shares many of the upgraded benefits of the twin cam including stiffer chassis, 4 wheel disc brakes, Dunlop knock-on road wheels (refurbished in 2009).This particular car is fitted with close ratio gearbox, stainless steel exhaust, mohair tonneau cover and has been waxoyled throughout. These very rare Deluxe models were produced in very small numbers and seldom come to the market.
A very good example which displays good panel and door fit and drives beautifully.
