History:: : Produced under licence by BMW and credited as being the car that saved BMW Isetta means little Iso after the firm Iso SpA, the same company producing the exotic Iso Rivolta and Iso Grifo. Of all the variants made the example here is the rarest, from the original 3000 built there are only known to be 200 survivors. The Isetta received the nickname ‘bubble car’ because of its bubble-like windows and its egg shape. This example was the subject of a nut & bolt restoration in 2006-7 which has been documented in 3 extensive photograph albums.
